Every year the ASA seeks to identify and honor the finest athletes from Northwest Florida. The event is also used to present the Wuerffel Award, the Taylor Haugen Award, and the Al Byrne Award.

23rd South Walton Celebrity Golf Classic 2019
The 23rd South Walton Celebrity Golf Classic benefiting the Veterans Lodge took place at the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in November 2019. This is a 2-day charity golf tournament that included about 50 sports celebrities teams.
This year’s tournament’s proceeds will go to the Veterans Lodge, a “one-stop” facility to assist veterans with all their needs. The facility is being built in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, at the corner of I-10 and Rt-331.
